lowena dhywgh! (My attempt at Cornish). Upon my retirement as a high school maths teacher, I realized I did not provide my son with the same oral history my father provided to me. Sitting on the porch in Michigan, he told stories of the family coming to Michigan (Calumet) from St. Ives, of family life (especially meal times), and the transition from the copper mines to other employment.

My wife makes a fabulous pasty and we are working with my fathers recipes for heavy cake and saffron bread.
