Officer updates:

No previous minutes were available to approve.

Treasurer:

·       We have a new Bank of America account w/ $15k

·       We have registered as a 501(c)3 in Oregon.

·       Johnny and Dot will try to get together in June at their closest Bank of America to sign signature cards at the same time.

·       We have collected $2880 for the Gathering. 18 have signed up.

·       We have a total of $33,800 in accounts.

·       We have had minimal expenses.  We still owe a travel Grant check to a recipient.  Dot is trying to figure out the best way to get the money to him in Mexico.

Membership:

·       The Toronto Cornish Association has dissolved and now is a chapter member of the CAHS. They will keep their entity alive through our newsletter and website. Former TCA members can choose to join CAHS if they want.  We have 10 new members who are probably former members of the TCA.

·       There are those ten and an additional two new members, so a total of twelve new members. We are currently working with 344 email addresses.  Some are organizations, so there are about 330 individual members globally.

Social Media

·     Viewership has been up 72% in the last 90 days.

·     Chris will post info about the Gathering as well as send out reminders about upcoming events.

·     Attendance for planned speakers has been low, and a reminder should be sent a couple of days beforehand.

·     Chris can post the newsletter on Facebook.

·     Linked in - Johnny wanted to join but CAHS was already taken.  We concluded maybe Ron Carbis (former treasurer) placed it years ago. Chris will look into it.  Dot has contact information.

·     The June issue of the Newsletter should come out tomorrow or the day after.

·     Johnny was asked about advertising in the newsletter.  Someone who owns a resort had inquired.  We concluded that we will not have business ads per se. The promotion needs to be educational in some way.  Harry suggested that maybe we could share ads/info through socials instead of the newsletter.

Historian -

·       Someone contacted Harry about submitting a genealogy but has not followed through.
