Who would like to host the 21st Gathering of the Cornish Cousins?
We are still celebrating the success of the 20th Gathering of the Cornish Cousins hosted by the Upper Michigan Keweenaw Kernewek. There were no major challenges along the way. The Keweenaw Peninsula people are connected with each other. Things get done quickly and correctly that way. The Keweenaw Heritage Center was a perfect headquarters for the event, and Calumet and its Pasty Fest just jelled together for a wonderful conference and opportunity for a Cornish reunion.
With everything seemingly easy-peasy, the one statement that chair Jean Ellis repeated (almost at every meeting) was, "If we only had another year. This is really a two-year planning project."
And so the Cornish American Heritage Society invites you to throw your hat into the ring for 2026! CAHS provides seed money if needed, and will help to get things started. Profits, if any, are split.
